Product Care
To keep your Chako Lab bottles and thermal mugs looking and working like new for years, follow a few simple rules.
Washing and cleaning
- Wash by hand with warm water and a mild detergent.
- Use soft sponges or cloths — abrasives can damage the coating and the insulation layer.
- Dry the product thoroughly after washing, especially lids and seals — this prevents trapped moisture and odours.
Straws and lids
Rinse straws, removable parts and lids regularly — this keeps drink residue and bacteria from building up.
Storage
Store products dry, away from direct sunlight and heat sources — colour, shape and insulation will last longer.
What to avoid
- Do not use chlorine, bleach or aggressive chemicals — they damage the coating and insulation.
- Do not microwave.
- Do not put in the dishwasher — parts can deform and the protective layer can get damaged.
- Do not pour boiling water into bottles with a straw. Drinks hotter than 49 °C can scald when drunk through a straw.
Important
Damage caused by not following these recommendations is not a manufacturing defect and is not covered by the return and exchange policy.
